UC IT leaders have joined with EDUCAUSE to commit to greater equity and inclusion in shaping the next generation of technology professionals and leaders. This conversation between UC’s Systemwide CIO and Vice Provost for Diversity and Engagement will help IT professionals understand why diverse and inclusive workplace environments are essential for more effective and creative teams of IT professionals. Participants will learn about real-life scenarios and the resources available to help create diverse and inclusive environments. Participants will have opportunities to ask questions and to share their own experiences and best practices.

Participants will gain:

• Awareness of UC’s public service mission and responsibilities for equity, inclusion and belonging
• Knowledge of concepts, techniques and available resources that have proved effective in promoting equity and inclusion in the workplace
